Family Mindfulness Sessions
Family life is full. Full of love, full of noise, full of moments that move too fast to catch — and sometimes full of distance that no one quite knows how to close.
Healing Yoga With Elana offers something different for families: a shared practice that brings everyone into the same room, the same breath, and the same space — and gives you tools to carry that feeling home.
What To Expect
Every family is different, so every program is built around yours.
We begin with a consultation call — just the adults — to understand where your family is, what's feeling hard, and what you're hoping for. From there, Elana designs a session structure tailored to your family's ages, personalities, and goals.
Sessions are held in a warm, non-judgmental space where every person — regardless of age or ability — is met with care. Children are never pushed. Adults are never put on the spot. The pace is yours.
After each session, you leave with specific tools and practices to use at home — so the work doesn't stay in the room.

What Family Mindfulness Sessions Are
Family sessions use the same integrated tools as individual work — breathwork, movement, meditation, sound, and guided reflection — adapted for every age and personality in the room. The focus isn't on fixing anyone. It's on creating a shared language for connection, regulation, and coming back to one another when life pulls you apart.
Parents leave with practical tools they can use immediately. Children leave having been met exactly where they are — with patience, creativity, and age-appropriate practices they can use right away.
Who This is For
This work is for your family if:
You want to build something together — a shared practice, a shared rhythm, a way of returning to each other that becomes part of how your family works.
You're navigating a transition — a move, a loss, a shift in family structure — and want support that reaches everyone, not just the adults.
You, your partner, and/or your child are struggling to regulate emotions — and you're looking for real tools, not just strategies to manage behavior.
You feel the distance growing between family members and don't know how to bridge it without it becoming a conflict.
You don't have to be in crisis to begin. You just have to be ready.

Why Elana
Elana spent 15 years in music classrooms where children of all ages arrived carrying whatever the day had given them — and left restored. She knows how to read a room, meet a resistant child, navigate competing personalities, and create conditions where real connection becomes possible.
As a mother of twins, she understands family dynamics from the inside — the beautiful complexity of it, and the moments that test everyone's patience including your own.
Her nearly 20 years as an educator, school leader, and coach aren't just credentials. They're the foundation of how she works.
This Work Begins At Home

Long before Elana brought this work to other families, she was finding her way to it within her own.
From the time her twins were born, she was conscious — of her tone, the words she used, the songs she sang, how she moved through her own stress when they were watching. She noticed early that when she was regulated, they were more likely to be too. That awareness grew into practice: affirmations, mantras, a "calm card," tactile tools her children could reach for on their own when they needed to find their way back to themselves.
It's still growing. Her children are growing. And so is the work. What she didn't expect was what it would give back to her — hearing her child say "I just need some space right now" or "my body is telling me I need to move" or asking to meditate together. She began this work with her children around age three, as soon as they had the emotional maturity and language to meet it. Watching them live it now is its own kind of healing.
